Classes

Pilates
Pilates exercises use key movement principles such as core activation, breathing, and spinal mobility. Class goals are to increase flexibility, strengthen from the core, and improve alignment so that our bodies function efficiently for other activities, including golf. Pilates exercises are done lying and seated on a mat simply using the students’ own body weight, and sometimes the ring or ball.

Pilates Ball
Pilates ball uses the same basic principles of Pilates with the additional use of stability and pilates balls. This class is done on the mat and is for all levels, but a basic understanding of the pilates principles is helpful.

Strength Training
You will achieve total body conditioning during this intermediate level strength training class. This is a high energy workout which may use benches, free weights, tubing, and stability balls. Students are encouraged to work at their own pace and use the appropriate amount of resistance.

Barre Fusion
Lift, lengthen and tone with this ballet-inspired workout! You will complete exercises at the barre as well as on a mat to target lower body, upper body and core. Alignment, balance and posture are all emphasized. No previous dance experience is necessary.

Core Strength
This 30 minute class will target all aspects of your core musculature in a challenging workout designed to completely fatigue your abs and push you to your limits. You will be exhausted, but empowered… you will come back week after week feeling stronger and more capable. If you are looking for an intense workout which will also help keep your back healthy and improve your spinal range of motion, do not miss this class.

Fundamental Yoga
This class uses fundamental yoga poses that will emphasize alignment, breath, building core and increasing flexibility. Beginners are encouraged to attend. Yoga mats, straps and blocks are provided.

TRX
This is a 30-minute dynamic workout focusing on the functional movements that we use in our everyday activities. It is designed to improve athletic performance, enhance body awareness, and increase total body strength. TRX Straps are used for this 3-dimensional workout.

Gentle Flow Yoga
This yoga class will integrate using your breath and movement to gain flexibility, strength and endurance. Amazingly, you will reconnect with your body, as you are skillfully guided to bring your energy and focus to each yoga pose. You will experience wonderful healthy benefits to the heart and soul after each class by reducing stress and gaining vitality. No yoga experience is required, simply a desire to renew a commitment to a personal balance.

Tai Chi
The gentle, meditative movements of this Chinese practice are fun and easy to learn. T’ai chi helps to improve balance, coordination, and mental acuity while cleansing the body of stress and disease.

Golf Conditioning
This class is designed to help golfers improve the fluidity of their golf swing as well as the power in their drive. By increasing joint range of motion with golf-specific stretches as well as strengthening golf-specific areas, you will feel (and see) the difference in your game almost immediately!

Circuit Training
This class uses the Cybex machines and is designed to activate all of the major muscles of your body in a short period of time, moving directly from one exercise to the next. This format is designed for students who would like to lose weight, increase muscle strength and achieve some cardio benefit as well.

Boogie Bash
This is a toe-tappin’ cardio dance class which will get you moving while using current and classic hit songs. It’s energetic and fun, while increasing your aerobic capacity! The choreography is easy to follow and you will get a total body workout combining many elements of fitness – cardio, conditioning, balance and flexibility.

Aqua-Fit
This class is offered seasonally from April through October. All exercises are done in the pool with aqua bells and noodles. Improvement in strength and aerobic capacity are some of the proven benefits of aqua exercise, with a decreased amount of force on the joints. Members are encouraged to wear a hat and sunscreen. You need not know how to swim to attend.

Restorative Yoga
This class offers members a relaxing yoga experience in the quiet atmosphere of the yoga studio. Students may use props such as blankets, straps and blocks. Students will practice a variety of restorative poses that are held for extended periods of time, encouraging the connection between your mind and body. All levels are welcome to attend.

Foam Roller Stretch

This is a self-led class. An instructor will demonstrate how to use the foam roller to break down knots and fascia that may be reducing your flexibility. Once learned, these techniques can be used as a pre-workout warmup or a post-workout cool down.

Fitness 101
This class is designed for members who are new to the fitness center and to working out in general. Your instructor will lead you through a complete workout which includes strength and flexibility training, as well as aerobic exercises. The entire workout is complete in 30 minutes.

Introduction to Yoga
This is an introductory level class open to all members who are new to yoga or want to go ‘back to the basics’ of yoga. Questions about the ‘how and why’ of yoga poses are encouraged. Modifications to traditional yoga poses are encouraged.

Monthly and individual class pricing is available. Additional guest fee per class
